Capabilities for Fluid Product Development

Over the last few years as we work with product teams around the world, we've identified trends that drive high performance and success.  Many of these match findings from the state of RM survey and other "top factors for success" or failure reports.

Two that stand out for us are "Leverage the collective genius" and "Openly share results".  Internally at Jama we find that the smartest person on the team is all of us - and when we we're focused, on the same page, we are incredibly effective and efficient. We've also found when we openly share results - whether it's revenue goals, support statistics, development sprint burn down or customer satisfaction and requests - good things happen.

  1. Continuously involve customers
  2. Capture the right requirements
  3. Prioritize objectively
  4. Leverage the collective genius
  5. Make the right commitments
  6. Intelligently manage change
  7. Ensure quality
  8. Openly share results

What's most important or provides the most benefit to your team, your organization?
